Terms and Conditions of Booking
Booking
Bookings can be made through our website or by phone call or email. The booking is confirmed when the deposit has been received.
Bookings are for a maximum of two weeks and commence at 4pm on the first day of the rental period and end at 10am on the last day of the rental period.
Deposit and Final Payment
For bookings made more than 8 weeks before holiday due to start, a deposit of one third of the rent is payable. The additional amount will be due 8 weeks before the holiday start date.
For bookings made less than 8 weeks before holiday due to start, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.
Payment can be made by online secure credit card portal, cheque or bank transfer.
Cancellation Policy
A booking can only be cancelled prior to the start of the holiday.
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance.
Cancellations must be made in writing or email. In the event that a cancellation is made then a cancellation charge is payable depending on the number of days before the holiday start date. The amount payable is set out below:

Guest Obligations
The Guest agrees:
To pay for any losses or damage to the property and contents caused by the Guest or a member of their party (reasonable wear and tear excluded). All damage and breakdowns must be reported immediately so issues can be put right before the arrival of the next guests.
- To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the holiday.
- Not to sell or transfer the booking to another party without the owner’s permission.
- Not to exceed the stipulated number of people or pets allowed in the property.
- Not to cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of adjoining premises.
- Not to smoke at the property.
- To use only the designated parking spaces. The owner accepts no liability for vehicle damage.
Non-Availability of the Property
If for any reason beyond the owner’s control the property is not available on the date booked (owing for example to fire damage or any other event outside of our control) or the property becomes unsuitable for holiday letting, all rent paid in advance by the Guest will be refunded.
Liability
The owners of Mount View accept no liability for loss or damage to the Guest’s possessions on the property or land.
Complaints
All complaints must be notified to the Housekeeper or Owners as soon as reasonably possible.
Pets
Pets are permitted but they are to be kept under control and exercised off the premises.
Pets are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture and the Owners’ of Mount View cannot accept responsibility for their safety. Pets must not be left in the property unsupervised as this can result in considerable damage to the property and distress to the pet.
Inventory
An Inventory is provided. Any discrepancies are to be reported to the Housekeeper or Owner within 24 hours of arrival otherwise the inventory will be deemed to be correct.
Bed Linen and Towels
Linen and towels are changed between holidays. For a two week stay,a fresh set is provided at the end of the first week.
